MY FITNESS JOURNEY

Sports and fitness have always been a priority in my life, as a kid running through the backyard to my days as a Division I athlete. After college, I wanted a way to stay in shape, so continued running for exercise, completing several half-marathons and even a full marathon. I was "in shape" but never felt strong, toned, or the way I wanted my body to feel. Pounding the pavement was losing its excitement. And it also wasn't working.

In 2012 I found CrossFit and started to learn more about strength training. Fitness became fun again, like playing sports as a kid.  I learned about functional fitness and how to move safely. I learned about nutrition and how to properly fuel my body for health and performance. Most importantly, I learned about enjoying life to the fullest potential by building a solid foundation of personal health and wellness.

Over the years, I dove deep into learning more about proper strength & conditioning and how to teach others to develop fitness for LIFE. 

In 2015, I merged my passion for health & fitness with my desire to help others. I earned my CrossFit Trainer Certification, building on my several years of local gym experience. I have since gone on to attain several more certifications and continue to hone my craft as a health & fitness coach.

I am excited to bring YOU into my journey, helping you achieve personal goals, learn, and better enjoy life through fitness.

MY FITNESS PHILOSOPHY

I firmly believe that a solid foundation of health and fitness will lead to a happier overall life. A good nutrition and exercise routine will allow you to do what is important to YOU.  My goal as a coach is to empower you to build a happier, better life with this foundation in place. 

I will help you find the fun in fitness so that you can truly be the best version of YOU. Together, we will focus on daily habits and choices that will get you to your goals.

There is no "one size fits all," and we will build the right program for YOU. Opportunities will include high-intensity workouts, cardio and endurance focus, low-intensity functional fitness, weight training, body weight exercises, and more.  We will find the right balance and make decisions that align with your values, priorities, and goals.
